I was interested in visiting Paraguay to see some of the special birds that are possible to see in the country but was struggling to find any organised professional birding tours that had any trips scheduled so I decided to visit on my own and therefore just had to find a specialist bird guide who could help me put this trip together. Fortunately in my search I found Oscar Rodriquez and made contact and after supplying him with my specific list of target bird species he came back to me with an itinerary which clearly showed he had put a lot of thought and detail into this to give me the best chances of success. Having now completed this 8 day tour I can report virtually all my targets where seen which included some very difficult to locate bird species and Oscar and his assistant Marcos worked hard to make my trip not only successful but enjoyable which was fully appreciated, I therefore would have no hesitation in recommending Oscar Rodriguez should you wish to visit Paraguay with its vast open spaces and rich bird life.
