“For 3 weeks in August/September 2017, I had the good fortune to bird the Paraguayan Cerrado, Grasslands, Atlantic Forest and the Chaco with Oscar.  I also added 5 days bird Iguazu Falls, Argentina.  I recorded 378 species in Paraguay and another 169 in Argentina. Our group was small - ranging from 5-7. Oscar was a fantastic leader and guide and got us to the birds and on the birds without fail.  He willingly shared his knowledge of his country and its flora and fauna. It was a complete experience.

The pacing of the trip was demanding but balanced. Transportation, accommodations and food were all good. Some accommodations were basic but appropriate given the location and in all cases the local proprietors were gracious, informative and welcoming. It made for a truly lovely experience.

I highly recommend Oscar and his team for an outstanding birding experience in Paraguay!”
