I have written, a less than erudite, testimonial about our trip.  It is brief and cannot begin to express the wonderful experience we had with you in Paraguay.

Our trip to Paraguay was very much a success. We decided on Paraguay due to the large list of birds that were present. To see many of them would require

travel to several different countries and incur a large expenditure of time and money. We found Paraguay to be a beautiful country with warm and

welcoming people. Probably the greatest find was Oscar Rodriquez! Having birded in a number of countries before, he is without doubt one of the premier

guides in the world. He received our request and formulated a trip to give us the best experience for seeing many of the highly desirable species. Our twenty

two day trip was nearly seamless. His ability to organize, make arrangements, and navigate the country was impressive. We wanted for nothing. His many

years of field experience were on display every day and several nights. An uncanny ability to hear the calls and songs of birds was almost beyond belief.

He knew where they were and was realistic about the chance of seeing them. His work with fellow birders, birding organizations, conservationist, farmers,

land owners and government agencies allowed us to enter restricted areas that required special permission. Often, this was done before our arrival with Oscar

making phone calls in the evening to secure permission upon our arrival. That preserved habitat exists in Paraguay, has and continues to be, an extremely

important work to Oscar. Many of these areas are under pressure from a variety of sources.

We completed our trip with nearly 400 species. Of these, 154 were life birds for us with several being exceptionally rare and/or highly restricted. Our rooms

were very good and the food was excellent. His selection of dining spots was impressive! He is a delightful travel companion. Witty, good humored and able

to adapt to any circumstance that might arise. We felt comfortable and safe. If you are thinking of birding Paraguay, we would recommend Oscar without

reservation. You will have a birding experience to be remembered.
